THE SPIRIT OF THE FOREST
52 WEEKS ARTISTS DROP is an independent and pioneering proposal in digital art organized by NftCanarias where a group of important artists from the Spanish and Latin American cryptoart scene will release 52 works (one per week) during the 52 weeks of the year 2024. Our goal is to encourage collaboration between artists, support artists who are joining the cryptoart scene and build a network of collectors linked to the project.
Treasuring the work of the first cryptographic artists of Spain and Latin America has a value that goes far beyond the economic. Collecting means preserving a heritage, promoting artists and participating in the construction of the social and historical identity of a people.

The starting price of each piece of artwork in the collection is 1 TEZO (1$). The entire collection is composed of 52 copies of work that can be purchased for 52 TEZOS in total (about 50 $ approximately).

The collection consists of 53 pieces of blockchain-certified digital art by cutting-edge digital artists such as Javier Arrés, Andy Scrawlzy, Darío Lanza, Marló López, César Álvarez, Luciana Guerra, Dani Hache, Alfonso Crujera, NurArt, Nacho Ramírez, Mercedes Cas, NftGarden, Maitreya, Nikomano, Aída Piñango, Fernando Jerez, Néstor Cano, Ultravioleth, Martyan and Charlie Five (Chr5) among others.

JAVIER ARRÉS
The Spanish artist Javier Arrés, internationally renowned in the crypto-art space, will be part of our project in the spirit of supporting emerging artists.
In January 2025, Javier will add the 53rd work to the collection. Only people who have collected all the pieces will be able to purchase this last piece.
CRIPTOARTIST IS PRESENT
We have created the “52 Weeks of Releases” as a way to experience the new ways of diffusion and sale of digital art through the internet. We have created a collection with high quality artists at a really affordable price for everyone”. My text “The Crypto-Artist is present” leaves a testimony of this new vision of digital art where the democratization of collecting is a fundamental part.
Charlie Five is a digital artist, promoter of the 52Weeks Artists Drop and curator of the collection.
ROOTMAP
This project has a two-year agenda that we have divided into three phases.
Phase 1: During the year 2024 we will launch a weekly work until completing the 52 works of the initial collection.
Phase 2: During the month of January 2025 the work of Javier Arrés will be launched and this piece will be added to the collection. This piece will be offered exclusively to collectors of the 52 works in the collection.
Phase 3: During the months of February – July 2025 new exclusive 1/1 pieces by various artists in the collection will be auctioned.
DROPS IN TWITTER SPACES
Each week, an artist will make one of his or her works available to collectors. This work will be an open edition in copies and will be available for collection for one week only. Once the week is over, this work will close its edition and a new artist will open a new edition. We present each of the new works every Sunday in a space on twitter.
